On 19th and 20th September Paweł Wojciechowski, the Rhine – Alpine Corridor European Coordinator, visits the Ligurian Ports. The visit is the opportunity to go deep into the knowledge of the Ligurian Port System and to meet the Institutions and the Operators. Specifically, among the other programs, there’s the welcome meeting at Sala dei Capitani (Genoa Port Authority, Palazzo San Giorgio) and a visit in the afternoon to the ports of Savona and Vado Ligure and the VIO Intermodal Terminal and Logistics centre. Circle took part to the welcome meeting and will be in the afternoon on 19th of September at Savona, as consultant of the Savona Port Authority for the development and management of co-funded projects. Among the themes that will be treated the effective integration of the multimodal system with the Core TEN-T Network to make easier the movements of the goods towards the intermodal and logistics hubs in the hinterland and the movement along the Corridors to the European destinations.
Lugo Terminal, a private logistics company operating an intermodal hub in central Italy, in Lugo, and one in south Italy, in Giovinazzo, has recently planned to boost its offer by launching two new logistics services. In order to properly face the upcoming challenges, has chosen Circle as its technological partner. Lugo Terminal in order to manage its logistics activities, has adopted MILOS, the modular software solution developed by Circle. In particular Circle is the partner for a developmental process of automation and digitalization of the operation and procedures: in a first phase with Milos Booking module the logistics operator can fully digitalize its booking procedure and with Milos Rail Management module Lugo Terminal can manage rail planning activities relating to its commercial routes. This morning, 5th of September, started the Single Window Conference & Exhibition (Marrakech, Morocco). Read here the program of the conference. A great relevance within the exhibition is done to the strategic importance that all the stakeholders have, especially the companies, for a complete integration among logistics and suply chain, element that represents an important competitive advantage. And Circle is at the exhibition with its own booth to examine in depth these themes!
On Monday 5th of September starts the 5th Edition of the International Single Window Conference focused on the “Virtual Single Window for foreign trade: the requirement for an inclusive cooperation”. The exhibition will last until the 7th of September and is hosted in the Conference Palace in Marrakech.
Confirming the interest for the international projects and for the Med area and the specific focus on the logistic process digitalization and interoperability, Circle will be at the exhibition with a Booth near the Main Entrance of the Exhibition Area.

First train in the Rail Controlled Customs Corridor System among La Spezia Container Terminal and RUBIERA
On 29th of June started the Rail Controlled Customs Corridor among La Spezia Container Terminal and Rubiera. In the mission, managed by Logtainer, Circle was the technological partner: the aim was the integration of the customs procedures with the logistics procedures, concerning the operations and the customs clearance. With the Rail Controlled Customs Corridor the goods will reach faster and with digitalized controlled procedures the inland destination, making the customs clearance according efficiency and effectiveness principles.
Today the Session Smart Port & Logistics within the Main Conference of the Naples Shipping Week: Circle took part with the speech by the CEO Luca Abatello titled Automation and Internet Of Things as enabling technologies in the logistics corridors and for the customs procedures: concrete tools for the companies competitiveness.
